ALIES in Practice
ALIES is not a concept waiting to be tested. It is already being applied. Across different contexts and target groups, pilot projects have shaped and continue to refine the method. The focus throughout: person-centred analysis that gives people not just a result, but a direction.
Projects
Career orientation at Nordsee-Internat
Under the title "Zukunft in meiner Hand", Dr Marco Boehm developed a multi-day, modular career orientation programme in collaboration with Nordsee-Internat (NSI) in St. Peter-Ording, Germany. The goal was to help young people shape their futures with self-awareness, agency and a process that fits how they actually think.
The programme combined established psychometric instruments with the ALIES method as a dynamic analytical layer, emphasising self-regulation, emotional maturity and individual thinking styles. ALIES was used to make patterns of thinking and behaviour visible, forming the basis for career pathways matched to each participant's profile.
Learning Support at Lernquadrat Hartberg
Since September 2025, students at Lernquadrat Hartberg in Austria have been able to use the ALIES method as part of their learning support. The aim is to help them reach their goals faster through guidance that is tailored to how they individually think and work.
Completed Pilot Projects
A school-based pilot involving approximately 120 students at one of Austria's largest secondary schools was completed successfully, with positive feedback from participants and staff.
A language-independent potential analysis was carried out with approximately 100 job seekers in an integration context. Participants received individualised guidance including profession-matched language support in their native language.
